The Moorpark City Council is seeking interested persons for appointment to fill two vacancies on the Moorpark Teen Council for a one-year term ending June 30, 2009.

The council consists of seven to 11 teens who are Moorpark residents currently enrolled in grades seven to 12. There will be one representative from each grade level and the remaining members will be representatives at large.

Teen Council meets one to two times per month beginning this month and assistd the recreation/community services manager and recreation leader with planning and implementing teen programs.

Applications may be obtained at City Hall, Moorpark City Library, Arroyo Vista Recreation Center, Moorpark High School, Moorpark Community High School, The High School at Moorpark College, Chaparral Middle School, Mesa Verde Middle School, and downloaded at www.ci.moorpark.ca.us.

Applications may only be submitted to the city clerk at City Hall. Submission deadline is 5 p.m. Tues., Sept. 30.
