Chabad of Simi Valley and the newly established Chabad of Moorpark will open a Sunday Hebrew School that will take place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 14 through the duration of the school year.

An open house will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Sun., Sept. 7 at the school's center, 4464 Alamo St., Simi Valley. All are invited to learn more about this program as well as meet the teachers, participate in arts and crafts, and talk with other Jewish families.

The Chabad Hebrew School is open to every Jew, regardless of religious background or level of observance.

Devorah Heidingsfeld, school new director, will initiate the Aleph Champion Program, which is based on the martial arts motivational philosophy of color coded levels and testing to inspire students.
