Store launches online contest for teens

Students design own ice cream creation

Cold Stone Creamery lauched an interactive contest for high school students and ice cream lovers nationwide.

Students who are prolific with MySpace and Facebook social networks and who attend high school close to one of the ice cream shop locations are encouraged to apply for the contest at www.iMixAmerica.com.

Cold Stone will select one contestant per high school from the online applicants to represent their stores in the contest, based on their answers to the contestant application questionnaire.

Contestants will develop their own signature ice cream Creation that they will selfpromote within their social network during each round of the competition. Based on the number of online votes their Creation receives, contestants will progress through the competition.

The contest ends Dec. 31.

The iMix America winner will receive a prize package worth $30,000 including automotive, travel, electronics, and cellular products and services, which will be awarded in January 2009 at the Cold Stone Creamery headquarters in Scottsdale, Ariz.
