Blues band, flamenco artist to perform at Simi Town Center

The Simi Valley Town Center will present two consecutive nights of free music concerts. Both shows are outdoors and free to the public.

•The Southern California R&B and blues band Reno Jones will play at 6 p.m. Thurs., Aug. 28 at the mall, 1555 Simi Town Center Way in Simi Valley.

Reno Jones was an awardwinner at the Monterey Blues Festival and headliners at B.B. King's Bluesapalooza.

•Emmy Awardwinning flamenco-Spanish guitarist Benise will perform from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Fri., Aug 29 at the mall.

Benise (pronounced Buhness-SAY) received widespread acclaim as the creative force behind the "Nights of Fire" world music and dance production that aired nationally on PBS. The program won an Emmy Award in 2007.

For both shows, box dinners are available for $10 to $20 at Town Center eateries.
