Transportation task force selects Millhouse
Richard Dixon, president of the Southern California Association of Governments, announced recently that Moorpark City Councilmember Keith Millhouse was selected to serve as vice chair of the High Speed Rail Regional (Maglev) Task Force.
The goals of the task force are to create a seamless link of high speed rail lines to the region's international airports and to help ensure greater efficiency in the flight capacities of local airports.
"I have a passion and commitment to improving our region's public transit and dramatically reducing traffic in Ventura County and throughout Southern California. I'm honored to be chosen for such a prestigious and challenging responsibility," Millhouse said.
The Southern California Association of Governments is the metropolitan planning organization for Southern California, representing six counties, more than 180 cities and 16 million people.
