The Red Cross is offering training for volunteers to serve on the Disaster Action Team from 8:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sat., Aug. 16 at the Moorpark Police Services Center, 610 Spring Road.

The event will include four sessions: Red Cross orientation, Disaster Services overview, mass care training, and team workshop.

The program uses volunteers to assist with the relief and housing of community members in case of an emergency or disaster.

Reservations are necessary and there is limited seating. Volunteers are expected to attend all sessions.
