If you think you have a knack for writing, put your creative juices to work in the Moorpark Acorn contest, "Fiction in a Nutshell."

In 100 words or less, write a fiction story and e-mail it to moorpark@theacorn.com or send it by mail to the address on page 4. Include your name, address, age and phone number. This information must be included or entries will not be accepted.

Winners will be announced in two categories: under18 and 18and-over. Each winner will receive a $50 prize and their story will be printed in the Moorpark Acorn.

All entries must be received by Fri., Aug. 8.

Winners will be announced on a dark and stormy morning, Fri., Aug. 29, and will be the subject of a feature story in the newspaper.
