ONCE IN A LIFE TIME- An agave, otherwise known as a Century plant, has grown 40 feet tall in the backyard of Larry Gillaspie's home in Moorpark. The succulent plant, with leaves up to six feet long, will die after the flowers bloom. Gillaspie has lived in his home for more than 32 years, and this is the first time the Century plant has bloomed during that period.
