Most work, home accidents are avoidable
      More than 2,000 injuries occur each day in the workplace, according to Prevent Blindness America. These injuries occur in spite of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Agency) guidelines for employers to provide and require all at-risk employees to use eye protection in hazardous environments.

      The Simi Valley Hospital Foundation is taking nominations for the Woman of the Year award. Nominees will be recognized at the hospital's annual "Hats Off to Women!" luncheon and fashion show scheduled for Fri., April 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum.
