Apparently, somebody thinks the Moorpark High girls' basketball team doesn't have much of a shot in the CIF-Southern Section Division IAA postseason. The Musketeers don't agree. When the playoffs begin Saturday for MHS, the Musketeers' opponent will be Long Beach Poly, the division's No. 1 seed. More ... FIRST TIME IS A CHARM- The first-year Bronze Alpha U-11 CVU girls' soccer team didn't allow a goal during pool play at the Copa Real Tournament. Bronze Alpha tied for first place in their bracket, then beat Select City Avalanche 4-1 in "kicks from the mark" to advance to the championship game, where they defeated the Moorpark Express Soccer Club 1-0.
