Gratitude for tree purchasers

To all of the Moorpark residents who purchased a Christmas tree from the Moorpark High School Music program, thank you. This year was our most successful year to date.

We sold more than 500 Christmas trees and wreaths and were able to donate trees to Catholic Charities, Holy Cross Church, Moorpark Presbyterian Church and several local families and businesses.

We also owe a debt of gratitude to many others who helped make this year's lot a huge success, including Mark Ossola and Associates, The Village at Moorpark, Rich Cornelison and RCC Property Management, Mike Stevens and White Cap Construction Supply, Pardee Homes, Staples Office Supply, Eric Giffin and Cal State RentA-Fence, Debbie Voss and McDonald's, Brian Dougherty of the Campus Plaza, the city of Moorpark, Robert Medrano and Peach Hill Soils, Randy's Tires, Larry Jue and all of the dedicated booster parents, volunteers and students who made this fundraiser happen.

Our goal was to raise money for the music program- - and we did. Music is crucial in our schools, and the goal of the booster club is to promote music in the lives of students throughout Moorpark.

We hope to see you at next year's Christmas tree lot. April Romain Booster club vice president Moorpark High School Band and Color Guard
