The Marmonte League announces its All League teams

Many Moorpark High athletes honored

As previously reported, MHS senior Casey Blum was honored in football as the Lineman of the Year. Also making the first team for football was Spencer Storbeck, Ryan Murry and Adam Barry. Michael Grimaud was named to the first team on defense.

 

Making the second-team offense were Musketeers Tyler Phillips and Austin Edmonson, while Garrett Meadows, Corey Sandoval and Darrius Johnson were honored on defense.

 

Seniors Brad Sweeney, John Husted, Chris Marion, Kevin Dimmitt, Matt Schuberg and Justin Evans were given honorable mentions on offense. Sophomore Marc Palacios, as well as seniors Greg Arrigoni, Mike Macphee and Kyle Davy, along with juniors Cameron Phillips and Greg Morrisey, were defensive honorable mentions.

 

The sophomore coaches at MHS were named Coaching Staff of the Year.

 

In girls' tennis, Kim Kolibas was named to the second team for singles. Shalini Karra, Chrissy Jacobs, Keiko McNamara and Tiffany Dam of Moorpark made the second-team doubles.

 

In girls' volleyball Rachael Kidder made the first team, while her teammates Shannon Thompson and Rachel Olinyk made the second team. Senior Lindsey Pogemiller made the third team.

 

In boys' water polo Tyler Johnson and Greg Beattie made the first team while Michael Lorch was named to the second team. Tyler Rettig and Blaine Worthington made the third team.
