'Cirque on Ice' in Camarillo features aerial acrobatics

Cirque on Ice will offer continued peformances through Jan. 6 at the Camarillo Community Theatre, 330 Skyway Drive, inside the Camarillo airport.

The new show is produced by Le Cirque De Gymnastique, a team of industry professionals who seek to provide cirquestyle entertainment in the intimate atmosphere of the community theater setting.

The show includes music, light show, aerial arts and gymnastics. According to event organizers, "This shimmering spectacle is an exquisite blend of soaring aerial acrobatics and the graceful flow of dance, all wrapped into an eye-opening, jaw-dropping and exhilarating magical production for all ages.

Among the performers are Camarillo Community Theatre Curtain Call youth, who will participate in a children's ensemble, and Sara Evenson, a local resident who attended Thousand Oaks High School and was involved with the Moorpark College Dance Department.

Proceeds from the production will help fund a new aerial and fitness center for all ages and skill levels.
