K of C thanks the community

The Knights of Columbus, Holy Cross Council 9969, would like to thank all the citizens of Moorpark who supported our annual Tootsie Roll Drive the weekend of Oct. 20 and 21.

Every year, on the third weekend in October, the Knights throughout the United States volunteer their time to raise money to help the mentally disabled people in the U.S., California and our community.

Because of your generosity, the Knights raised more than $1,860. All donations will go directly to the mentally disabled people of Ventura County.

We also would like to thank Vons, Albertsons and Ralphs for their support in letting us collect at their stores.

The Knights will also be having their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive the weekend of Nov. 17 and 18 at the local markets. All collections go directly to the Moorpark Food Pantry for distribution to the needy members of our community.
