Public invited to birthday party

Friends and family are invited to the 99th birthday party for Lorene Foster from 1 to 5 p.m. Sat., Oct. 20 at the Plaks' home, 4957 Mira Sol Drive, Moorpark. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m.

Foster was born in Colfax, Wash. on Oct. 20, 1908. She moved to California when in the seventh grade and graduated from Fairfax High School, Los Angeles in 1928. She worked in banking and real estate before she married the late Chester Foster.

She was one of the first residents in Simi Hills Gracious Retirement Living. She has been active in the PTA, community theatre and the Simi Valley Women's Club.

Foster has three daughters, 14 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.
