Dinner theater to raise scholarship funds

The Moorpark College Foundation will present the Wild West Murder Mystery Dinner Show and Scholarship Roundup at 6 p.m. Fri., Oct. 12 at Tierra Rejada Ranch, 3370 Sunset Valley Road, Moorpark

A Hollywood dinner theater troupe will perform "Murder in Moorpark" in a tented theater amid the walnut groves.

The show is set in the Wild West town of Mudsprings. Guests will hear about a savory investment opportunity in this new boomtown, where an unsavory event is about to unfold. A gun, a banker and a sultry songbird set the stage for a showdown.

The evening includes the show, fiddle music, dancing and dinner.

Tickets are $175 per person or $295 per couple.

All proceeds will benefit the Passport to Education Scholarship Fund, which pays first year college tuition for local high school graduates who participated in Passport to Education college prep activities during their junior and senior year.
