Bea Thompson award nominations open

The OneSpirit Center for Conscious Living, also known as the Simi Valley Religious Science Church, is open for nominations for the Bea Thompson Make a Difference Foundation.

The nominee receiving the award must demonstrate respect for cultural diversity and the belief that all people are entitled to live peaceful, healthy, resourceful lives, regardless of race, age, education, ethnicity, cultural or financial resources.

The grant can be awarded for any activity from any field of endeavor that serves the betterment of humankind, whether in the area of education, health, social programs or any other program.

The recipient can be an individual or organization, local or global, other than the OneSpirit Center for Conscious Living or its officially sponsored outreach ministries.

Past recipients of the award have been the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Ventura County Interface Family Services, the Simi Valley Free Clinic and the Simi Valley Samaritan Center.

Each recommendation must be accompanied by a cover letter and a completed questionnaire explaining what this person/organization has accomplished and how they meet the intent of the foundation.

The award recipient will be announced at the OneSpirit Annual Harvest of Abundance Banquet on Oct. 5.
