Films to explore economy, politics A series of educational films on the banking system and the topic of "Who really runs America" will be shown on Sat., Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the EP Foster Library, Elizabeth Topping Room, 651 E. Main St., Ventura. There is no charge to attend. According to event organizers, the films are intended to educate the public about the real rulers of America and how they exert control over economic, political, educational and cultural institutions. Films to be shown include an interview with G. Edward Griffin, author of "The Creature from Jekyll Island." Griffin describes who founded the Federal Reserve System, how money is created by Federal Reserve bankers, the impact of the fiat money system on the value of the dollar and where Congress gets most of its money. "Money as Debt" will also be shown. It is a short film on how money is created and how it works. Aaron Russo's movie "America: Freedom to Fascism" is also featured. Russo is the producer of such hits as "The Rose" and "Trading Places." His film explores how the illegal Federal Reserve came into existence, why the income tax is a fraud and how bankers are systematically depriving Americans of their privacy and freedom. A fourth film features an interview with exIRS agent Joe Banister. Banister describes how he discovered serious constitutional questions regarding the federal income tax and the federal banking and monetary systems when he worked for the IRS and why he finally quit. The last film is a two-hour DVD called "The Income Tax Hoax: How to Keep 100 Percent of your Earnings." In it, tax experts talk about why thet think income tax is a fraud and how one should protect their earnings. For more information about the films, call (805) 644-3268. |
