Running for boy with muscular dystrophy

Paula Popp of Seattle, Wash., has joined Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy's "Run for Our Sons" team to participate in the 2007 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend to raise funds and awareness for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a lethal genetic disorder.

Popp will run Mon., Sept. 3 on behalf of Andrew Kilgore, a fifth-grader at Walnut Canyon School in Moorpark.

The 2005, 2006 and 2007 Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy teams have raised close to $1 million for research and treatment.
