College presents dance concert

The Dance Department at Moorpark College will present its Summer Dance Concert as part of the Summer Arts Festival Thurs. through Sat., Aug. 9, 10 and 11 at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center, 7075 Campus Road.

The evening will include ballet, modern, hip-hop, belly dance and lyrical jazz in original works by student choreographers, guest artists and faculty.

The department's newest full-time faculty member, Beth Megill, will perform a solo titled "Redlight."

The student choreographers presenting works are Christine Kerrigan, Imani White, Deanna Hallum and Kristin Rice.

Faculty choreographers include Jennifer DeBritton Ward, Megill, Nancy Paradis and Salas, as well as guest artist Christopher Smith.

Tickets are $16 general public and $9 students, seniors and staff.
