Celebrating traditional culture
RAISING AWARENESS- Robert Silent Thunder of Whittier displays the majesty of American Indian culture during a dance at the annual Children of Many Colors Powwow held at Moorpark College last weekend. Tribes from across the United States come together at this popular event, which is sponsored by Redbird, an American Indian nonprofit association headquartered in Simi Valley. Monies raised at the powwow go to scholarships.
