Arts fest highlights photographer Local photographer Nick Rodionoff will be the featured artist at the 36th annual Malibu Arts Festival 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sat. and Sun., July 28 and 29 at the Malibu Civic Center, 23555 Civic Center Way. Rodionoff's photography includes sunsets, seascapes, landscapes, location shots, wildlife and the surf. He has been featured Outdoor Photographer, Surfer and Los Angeles magazines, among others. Rodionoff is the head coach of Pepperdine's women's swimming and diving team. The festival is free to the public; there is a $7 parking fee. The event will present more than 165 artists and 70 Malibu businesses in the Chamber Village. The entertainment stage will showcase eight original performers playing jazz, blues and classical music. The Children's Village will host hands-on art creations and mural painting. The Food Village will serve crepes, an assortment of Cajun specialties, sausages, wraps, gyros, ice cream sundaes, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, salads, pastries and coffees.
