Sting operation catches culprits

Employees at two Moorpark businesses were cited for selling alcohol to minors during a sting operation the evening of June 22, according to a police report.

The Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving and the Bike Patrol units visited about 50 locations, including liquor stores, drug stores, convenience marts and grocery stores.

The clerks who sold the alcohol were cited and released.

The following shops in Moorpark sold alcoholic beverages to minors: Tipsy Fox Liquor on High Street, and Alliance Gas on East Los Angeles Avenue.
