Venture Crew ramps up for adventure

Moorpark Venture Crew 9611, a coed organization associated with the Boy Scouts of America, invites young men and women between ages 14 to 21 to join.

The crew participates in high adventure activities such as white water rafting, rock climbing and hiking. The program is balanced with community service.

Upcoming activities include a day trip by train from Moorpark to Santa Barbara on July 14 and summer camp at Lopez Lake in Arroye Grande, Calif., on Aug. 16 to 20.
