Republican Women honor student, teacher

The Simi Valley/Moorpark Republican Women's Club presented the Charlotte Mousel Scholarship of $1,000 to Daniel Sakaida. His essay won him the scholarship at both the club and county levels.

The Favorite Teacher Award of $500 was given to Marilyn Van Dyke of Hillside School in Simi Valley at the May club meeting.

The club holds meetings on the third Friday of each month.
