Up on the roof

HIGH-RISE READING- Left, Peach Hill Principal Donna Welch makes good on a promise to her students. Young readers met her challenge to read more than 3 million minutes during the school year. In return, Welch read a story to them from the school roof. Below, Welch joins student Jake Quijada before taking a cherry-picker to the roof for her storytelling.
