Fortnightys will give awards

The Moorpark Women's Fortnightly Club will meet for luncheon and annual awards ceremony at 10 a.m. Fri., June 8, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 13955 Peach Hill Road, Moorpark.

The program will cover the Jamestown settlement, founded 400 years ago.

This is the last regular meeting before the summer hiatus. Monthly meetings will resume in September, but small groups will meet throughout the summer.

The next Gals Night Out, for women who can't attend the day meetings, will be Mon., June 18.
