Youth can enter golf competition

The Mutual of Omaha Drive, Chip and Putt, a junior golf skills competition, will swing into the area with a local championship at 1 p.m. Sun., May 20 at the Moorpark Country Club. The event is presented by the Golf Channel.

The event is a free golf skills competition for junior golfers ages 7 to 14 of all golfing abilities. Participants will be divided into four age divisions to compete in three competitions: driving, chipping and putting.

The top three combined rankings in each age group will qualify for regional championship competition, with the opportunity to advance to the National Championships in September.
