Outer space adventure

IRIS SMOOT/Acorn Newspapers IN TRAINING- Garrett Rios, 7, of Moorpark, jumps rope to exercise as astronauts do to prepare for space missions during Flory Academy of Science and Technology's astronaut simulation program on Friday. Students also learned about constellations, bounced around in "moon shoes," and gathered moon rocks. This is the second year for this event since Flory Academy became a NASA explorer school.
