Free mental health evaluations offered

The Wellspring Counseling Group in Moorpark is offering several free activities to help local residents assess their mental health needs in honor of National Mental Health Month in May.

Wellspring will host an open house between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sat., May 19 at 165 High St., Ste. 102.

Interested parties can discuss their situations privately with a therapist and explore their options. Refreshments will be served.

Also, people can mail or deliver a self-addressed stamped envelope to Wellspring's office and request a selfscoring depression or anxiety inventory to help gauge for themselves whether their situation might warrant outside assistance.

The six licensed therapists affiliated with Wellspring work with clients on such issues as depression, anxiety and relationship and parenting difficulties, among others.

The therapists see individual adults, adolescents, children, couples and families.
