On March 16 thieves stole goods from an open garage on Avedon Road. Someone tried to steal property from a vehicle parked on North Las Posas Circle on March 17. Vandals caused about $400 in damages at the Albertsons grocery store on Los Angeles Avenue March 16. On March 17 a suspect stole goods from the Rite Aid drugstore on Spring Road. On March 18 vandals caused about $400 in damages to the Do-it Center on Los Angeles Avenue. A 21-year-old man was cited on March 18 because he and his two passengers were smoking marijuana in a vehicle in the Albertsons shopping center on Los Angeles Avenue. On March 18 a young man was stopped for driving a vehicle with excessive noise. He seemed to be intoxicated and had a glass pipe in his possession and was arrested for not haveinga driver's license. Police arrested a 30-year-old methamphetamine user on March 19. A 51-year-old man was arrested on March 19 for urinating in public. Vandals spray-painted a wall on Bellavista Drive on March 14. The damage was $100. A stereo was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on Princeton Avenue on March 15. Someone stole the tail lamp of a vehicle parked on Condor Drive on March 19. A man who was stopped because he didn't have a front license plate was arrested because he had an outstanding warrant in Los Angeles County. The incident occurred on Champion-ship Drive on March 14. Someone was cited on March 16 for making telephone threats to a Camarillo resident. A door-to-door solicitor selling cleaning products in unincorporated areas was cited on March 15 because he didn't have a required permit. A 23-year-old man was arrested on March 19 in connection with domestic violence and because he had outstanding warrants. A 40-year-old male was arrested in connection with robbery and kidnapping on March 21. Thieves stole property worth more than $400 from a vehicle parked on Thompson Street on March 9. Vandals caused $100 in damages spray-painting the Do-it Center on Los Angeles Avenue on March 19. On March 18 vandals caused $180 in damages spray-painting a wall on Cornet Avenue. Vandals caused $115 in damages to a property on Moorpark Avenue on March 17. Vandals spray-painted the wall of a bathroom at Mesa Verde Middle School on March 2. Someone broke into a car parked on Palmer Drive on March 7 and stole a laptop computer. Someone burglarized a car parked on Jacobson Place between March 7 and 8. Another laptop computer was stolen. A car was broken into on Watson Drive on March 7. A handbag was stolen but later recovered across the street. Moorpark High School was vandalized on March 6. Less than $400 in damage was caused. Gift cards worth $225 were processed without being paid for at Kohl's department store in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue between Feb. 19 and March 6. An employee was processing the cards and pocketing them. He was arrested at the scene. Mail was stolen from a mailbox in 200 block of West Los Angeles Avenue between Jan. 30 and Feb. 21. A young man was arrested on March 9 at Moorpark High School for trespassing on school grounds and creating a disturbance. When investigating someone involved in a related incident in the 400 block of Los Angeles Avenue, a deputy arrested a man showing signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Someone stole tools between March 7 and 13 at the construction site at the Moorpark Presbyterian Church at Peach Hill Road. Vandals caused about $400 in damages to Moorpark High School between March 9 and 12. Chaparral Middle School was the scene of vandalism some time between March 11 and 12. A classroom window was broken. A woman was arrested for breaking into a classroom at Chaparral Middle School on Poindexter Road sometime between March 10 and 11 and stealing a DVD player. Chaparral Middle School was vandalized by a tagger just after midnight on March 11. Gang graffiti was spray-painted on school property. In the pre-dawn morning hours of March 10, somebody broke into a residential garage in the 11000 block of Shady Ridge Drive and stole personal property. A man and a woman were stopped on March 13 for driving in a suspicious fashion on the 23 Freeway. Both parties gave deputies permission to search them and their car. Found in the vehicle were a small bottle of methamphetamine, cocaine, an electronic scale, $145 in cash, Xanax pills, Trazadone pills, Vicoden, three meth pipes, a hypodermic needle and 63 morphine sulfate pills. The pair was arrested at the scene. Just before midnight on March 12 a man pulled his truck over to ask for directions from deputies who were parked at the intersection of Meridian Hills and Shadow Wood. The man seemed intoxicated. While the man was taking a sobriety test, marijuana was found in his truck and an arrest was made. A man was arrested for being drunk in public on March 11 in the 400 block of High Street. During a probation search conducted in the 70 block of Harry Street on March 11, a man was found to be in possession of a glass pipe and methamphetamine and under the influence of the drug. He was arrested at the scene. While responding to an injury accident at Los Angeles Avenue and Park Lane on March 10, deputies learned that a man involved in the collision tried to leave the scene without exchanging information. Upon questioning the man, it was discovered that he was an unlicensed driver with no proof of insurance and he was arrested at the scene. A young man was found trespassing in the 15700 block of Los Angeles Avenue on March 9. He was arrested after being found in possession of marijuana. Stolen car parts were discovered on March 10 at a residence on Laurelhurst Drive. A man at the residence was arrested after he was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Some time between March 9 and 14 someone stole three air conditioners from newly-constructed homes on Palmer Drive. The units were valued at $2,300 each. A known suspect stole a speaker box, speakers and an amplifier from the trunk of an unlocked car some time between Feb. 27 and 28 from the rear parking lot of the 300 block of Moorpark Avenue. On March 12 a GPS navigation system and money were stolen from a car in the 14200 block of Shawnee Court. Someone smashed a rear window of a car parked at the same address on Shawnee Court and stole a laptop computer. Another car on Shawnee Court was broken into through the rear passenger-side window. A purse was stolen. A purse was stolen on March 12 from a car parked on the 14100 block of Oneida Court. A car parked on the 14200 block of Maya Circle was broken into in the early morning hours of March 12 and a purse was stolen. A car was burglarized on the 4000 block of Dakota Drive in the early hours of March 12. A laptop computer and a navigation system were stolen. A wallet was stolen from a car parked on the 14200 block of Maya Circle on March 12. Vandalism causing more than $400 in damages took place on city property at 500 Poindexter just after midnight on March 11. A coffee grinder was stolen from the Starbucks in the 500 block of Los Angles Avenue on March 10. A young man admitted to an officer that he had sexually assaulted a 14-year-old on March 12 in the 700 block of Magnolia Street. A residential burglary took place some time between March 21 and 22 in the 7100 block of Haynie Court. |
