Clearing up after the fire

SEBASTIANRAMIREZ/Special to the Acorn Newspapers UPROOTING OLD GROWTH- The Waters Ranch on Broadway and Shekell Canyon is getting a makeover through the removal of eucalyptus trees growing on 500 acres. The onging job began last week. According to ranch owner Andy Waters, "They will be removing anywhere from 1,200 to 1,500 trees that were damaged from the Shekell Fire back in January." The Waters are not planning to replace the trees at this time, but hope to put some type of crops instead.
