The Moorpark Active Adult Center presents the following activities for seniors in April.

Events require a reservation and will meet at 799 Moorpark Ave. Programs are free. For more information on any activity to RSVP, call (805) 517-6261.

+A pinochle group meets from 12:45 to 3:30 p.m. every Tuesday at the center. New players are always welcome. Lessons are available for anyone interested in learning how to play the game.

+Debbie MacIntosh will lecture on three works of art, "The Crucifixion," "The Resurrection" and "The Last Supper" window at Forest Lawn at 2 p.m. Tues., April 3. Slides will be shown of the artwork. This is the fourth session of a seven-month lecture series made possible by the Forest Lawn Museum's speaker series.

+Nicole Champagne of the Ventura County Public Health Department will give a free talk on the new FDA food pyramid at 11 a.m. Wed., April 4. She will discuss the general recommendations and methods of incorporating the new food pyramid into a daily meal plan.

+Kelly Rose of Collette Travel will present a free slide show about an upcoming trip to Paris and New York City at 2 p.m. Tues., April 17. See Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Greenwich Village, Wall Street and other sights. The talk will include information about trip reservation procedures and detailed tour information.

+Free peripheral artery disease testing will be offered to Ventura County residents age 60 and up on Fri., April 27. Appointments will be scheduled beginning 9 a.m. Tues., March 27. No reservations will be taken from voice mail.
