Schools schedule info nights

K-8 Parents Information Nights have been scheduled for Moorpark elementary and middle schools. Materials concerning school philosophies, unique identities and program options will be provided. Each school will conduct a tour.

Residents of the Moorpark Unified School District may apply to enroll their children in any district school regardless of attendance area boundaries, pending space availability. Students in the local residence area will have first priority and the district may not be able to honor all requests.

Parents interested in having their children attend a school outside their regular attendance area may pick up a Parental Choice Transfer Request from their local school or the district office. Application deadline is Wed., Feb. 28 and late applications will not be considered.

Parents must provide transportation to a school outside their attendance area boundaries.

Flory Academy of Sciences and Technology and Walnut Canyon School of Performing Arts and Technology are magnet schools and require an application for admission for new K5 students. These applications are due by 4 p.m. Tues., Jan. 30.
