Pageant queen to sing benefit concert

Moorpark College music student Jamie Gruttemeyer, Miss Ventura County 2007, will host a benefit concert at the Moorpark College Performing Arts Center on Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 with all profits going to ACCESS, a program on campus that assists students with learning difficulties.

"Jamie became interested in helping ACCESS after seeking help with a learning difficulty she was having," said Nancy Gruttemeyer, Jamie's mother.

"She found her auditory learning skills were off the chart, which is why she does so well in her studies of opera."

Gruttemeyer will perform a medley from "Wicked" with Jamie Cronin, a Moorpark College alumna who sang on Broadway in "Les Miserables."
