Air Force Airman Jinny Liechti has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas and earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. She is the daughter of Judy Liechti of Moorpark and a 2006 graduate of Moorpark High School.

Army Spec. Michael S. Zumwalt has returned to the 4th Battalion, 27th Field Artillery Regiment, Baumholder, Germany, after being deployed in Iraqi. Zumwalt is a cannon crewmember with three years of military service. He is the son of Tom Klomparens and Debbie Zumwalt of Simi Valley and a 2000 graduate of Royal High School.
