School to enhance curriculum with grant
      Walnut Canyon Elementary School, an arts and technology school in Moorpark, has received a Magnet Schools of America Awards Program grant. Forty-one schools in 17 states received a portion of $100 mil lion awarded in magnet school grants. Walnut Canyon will receive more than $1 million throughout the next three years.

High school homecoming
      Moorpark High School will kick off Homecoming 2007 with a rally at 10 a.m. Fri., Oct. 26 at the school, which includes a preview of the half-time show. The homecoming football game against the Calabasas Coyotes will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at the school field. A victory against Calabasas will make Moorpark's eighth consecutive homecoming win.
