See silent story on silver screen sitting 'neath stars
"Silents Under the Stars" presents "The Kid Brother" at 8 p.m. Sun., July 15 at the Paramount Ranch, 2813 Cornell Road, Agoura. The film begins at dusk.
This 1927 silent movie, starring Harold Lloyd and Jobyna Ralston, tells how the bashful son of a country sheriff is forced to defend the family name when caught in a plot concocted by the unscrupulous members of a traveling medicine show.
Michael Mortilla will provide live musical accompaniment. A surprise short subject will precede the feature.
Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for members of Hollywood Heritage, and $3 for youth under 12. Children under 3 are free.
Picnic dinners are encouraged. The parking area is dark and flashlights are recommended.
