Arts Center posts new play season
      The 2007-08 season at the High Street Arts Center will include two dramas, a comedy, a holiday classic and a popular musical. "We'll continue to strive to offer a variety of quality productions that appeal to our local community," said L.J. Stevens, manager of the city-owned arts center.

      Katherine Pappas has been busy this week. The Oxnard resident spent most mornings directing a group of women who stood shouldertoshoulder along a makeshift assembly line to package the nearly 10,000 Greek pastries they plan to sell this weekend during the 29th annual Ventura County Greek Festival at Camarillo Airport.

      The Moorpark Active Adult Center and the Moorpark Senior Citizens Inc. will sponsor a Bingo Bash fundraiser from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sat., June 16 at the Moorpark Civic Center, 799 Moorpark Ave. The big jackpot will be $250.
