The CIF State Track and Field Championships are taking place today and Saturday at Sacramento City College. Several area standouts will be competing in the two-day event.

Simi Valley's Anna Sperry will run in the girls' 1,600 and 3,200 races. Royal's Hudson Andrews is a favorite in the boys' 1,600, while his Highlander teammate, Michael Cybulski, looks to defend his 3,200 crown.
