Rabbi invites community to visit Israel in summer

Rabbi Michele Paskow of Simi Valley's Congregation B'nai Emet will lead a two-week tour of Israel this summer.

The group will leave Los Angeles on Sun., July 22 to visit Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Kibbutz Yad Mordechai, Rechovot, Jerusalem, Masada, Tiberias, Safed, Haifa, Acre and Rosh HaNikra, swim in the Dead Sea and take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee.

In Jerusalem, guests will see the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Western Wall and the tunnel underneath, the Chagall windows, the Knesset, museums, Yad Vashem Memorial of the Holocaust, Hebrew University, recently excavated caves and other historic and archaeological sites holy to Jews, Christians and Moslems.

The group will also meet with prominent Israeli personalities.

Accommodations will be in 5star deluxe hotels with breakfast every morning and gourmet dinners in restaurants each evening. Transportation around the country will be in a deluxe airconditioned motor coach.

Paskow has been to Israel many times and lived there for two years. People of all religious persuasions and ethnic backgrounds are welcome. Special arrangements can be made for bar or bat mitzvah, anniversaries and other celebrations.

After Israel, an optional fourday stopover in Barcelona, Spain, is available.
