Applications for four Ronald McDonald House Charities scholarships are now available for high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, strong leadership skills and a commitment to the community.

The four scholarship programs are African American Future Achievers, Asian Pacific American Students Increasing Achievement, Hispanic American Commitment to Educational Resources and Scholars of Tomorrow.

The $2,000 college scholarships may be applied toward tuition, fees, room and board and/ or other approved expenses.

Application deadline is Fri., March 16. The forms are available through high school counselor offices and career centers throughout Southern California.

Last year, $170,000 was awarded to high school students in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties.
