A reminder for drivers to keep alert

SEBASTIAN RAMIREZ/Special to the Acorn Newspapers CAR CRUNCH- On Monday morning, a woman driving a Mercedes eastbound on Los Angeles Avenue failed to yield for oncoming traffic when turning left into the Moorpark Town Center. She broadsided a GMC truck driven by a Moorpark resident. There were no injuries to either driver. The Mercedes driver claimed that a semi-truck driver waved her on. The Sheriff's Department reminds motorists that they're responsible to check for oncoming traffic before turning.
