Artist to demonstrate watercolors

Artist Judy Koenig will demonstrate a newer watercolor technique of interest to hobbyists and professional artists from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Fri., Jan. 19 at the Simi Valley Library, 2969 Tapo Canyon Road.

Koenig will use ink resist and watercolor as a way to achieve a different effect. According to event organizers, “The artist’s personal style results in a work of brilliant color and great detail in a strong composition. Examples can be seen in her website, www.judykoenigfinearts.com.”

The event is sponsored by the Simi Valley Art Association. A previously completed work by Koenig will be given to a member of the audience in a drawing. Anyone interested may attend for a $5 donation.
