First baby of New Year to receive gifts The family of the first baby born at Simi Valley Hospital in 2007 will receive a bassinet, armoire, four-drawer chest and crib with a retail value of $3,000. The furniture is donated by Cribs 2 Teens, a family-operated business with local ties to Simi Valley. The baby furniture set, which is manufactured by Pali of Italy, is currently on display at Cribs 2 Teens, 1125 E. Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley. “We have lived in Simi Valley since 1983, and two of our children were born at Simi Valley Hospital,” said Larry Phillips, owner and operator of Cribs 2 Teens. “We wanted to give the first new Simi Valley fam ily in 2007 a complete nursery to getheir year started in the right way.” “This was a delightful surprisesaid Pam Andreasen, manager of thwomen’s and children’s unit. “We arvery fortunate to have friends at Crib2 Teens who want to give somethinback to the community . . . we thanMr. Phillips for his donation.” |
