Mindful of the moon

TO THE MOON—Last Friday the fifth-grade students at Flory Academy participated with NASA Ames Research Center in Palo Alto via a videoconference simulation, “Target Moon.” Students and NASA Mission Control worked together to evaluate the danger of an approaching comet to lunar bases and astronauts. The simulation challenged students to use team work and their math, communication and computer skills.
