Students to learn about human body at Science Night

Walnut Canyon School will host its annual Science Night from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Mon., Nov. 20 at the campus, 280 Casey Road, Moorpark. The theme is "The Science of the Human Body."

Two professors from UC Berkeley will present "Medical Mystery," a life science festival. Students will become doctor detectives as they solve medical mysteries by using hands-on activity stations to examine pretend patients.

As the students gather information about what made the patients sick, they listen to their own hearts, measure their breath flow, test their eyesight and more.

The event will also have hands-on experiments in the classrooms, a bake sale and a silent auction. Auction items will include gift baskets, golf packages, gift certificates and prime parking spots in the Walnut Canyon parking lot.

Admission is free. Science Night is sponsored by the PTA.
