The manager of the Vons store on the 4200 block of Tierra Rejada Road detained a petty theft suspect at 2:26 p.m. Sept. 20. The manager claimed to have witnessed the suspect slide an alcoholic beverage inside his coat.

A suspect was stopped at 12:51 a.m. Sept. 22 for a traffic violation at the intersection of Charles Street and Hedyland Court. The officer arrested the driver on a DUI charge.

The intersection of Justin Court and Harvester Street was the scene of a hit-and-run incident at 9:40 p.m. Sept. 24. A suspect was pulled over and arrested for a DUI after he knocked down a traffic sign while driving, then attempted to flee.

Vandalism was reported at 10:20 a.m. Sept. 25 at Chaparral Middle School on 280 Poindexter when suspects defaced school property with graffiti. Damage was estimated at less than $400.

Property at the Longs drugstore at 155 W. Los Angeles Ave. was defaced with graffiti. The crime was reported at 12:15 p.m. Sept. 26.

A citizen reported an incident of someone defecating in public at 4:40 p.m. Sept. 26 in the 100 block of High Street. The suspect was found and arrested by deputies.

At 7:01 a.m. Sept. 27 a suspect drove past a parked schoolbus that had its rear lights flashing. The suspect was proved to be an unlicensed driver.

A suspect tried to pass a bad check at the Payless Shoe store on the 800 block of W. Los Angeles Ave. at 3:01 p.m Sept. 27

A suspect was pulled over for hitting a stop sign at 10:47 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Albertsons parking lot at Princeton and Condor avenues. Just under 1 gram of hashish was found in the suspect's possession.

Grand theft was reported at 1 p.m. Sept. 27 after suspects stole gardening tools on the 4200 block of Cedarpine Lane.

Chaparral Middle School was reported vandalized at 9:15 a.m. Sept. 28 with "MPLS" and other markings spray-painted on the walls, causing more than $400 in damage.

A call at 10:55 a.m. Sept. 29 reported a domestic disturbance in the 14600 block of Hartford Street. A suspect was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

A suspect attempted to pass a bad check at the Moorpark Central Market at 5 p.m. Sept. 29.

Chaparral Middle School reported graffiti at 7:57 a.m. Oct. 1. "TOYZ TZ" was scrawled on the office fence.
