Thanks to the graffiti cleaners

I'm not exactly sure who is responsible-probably several different people-but I want to send a big thank you to whoever has been dutifully cleaning up the graffiti in our fair city.

I am extremely displeased at the increased level of this mind- less ritual of marking places that clearly are not one's property. I've noticed the graffiti at many loca- tions throughout Moorpark, from bridges to walls to shopping cen- ter walkways. I've even seen it on the mailbox on my street.

On the bright side, I have also seen these markings get cleaned up and painted over very quickly. In fact, sometimes I've seen the clean up happen within 24 hours of the vandal's work. That's evidence to me that there are still plenty of people around who have great pride for what we have here in Moorpark.

I get discouraged when I see graf- fiti, but it is comforting to know that there are individuals/groups in Moorpark who work to take back what belongs to all of us Moorpark citizens. Once again, let me say thank you to those individuals who continue to pro- vide a clean and safe environment for us to raise our families.

Your efforts are noticed and ap- preciated. Bill Moellering Moorpark
