The Spanish 4 AP students from high school teacher Ana Cuevas's class each wrote a childrens books based on a researched Latin American country and shared the books with the
elementary pupils. The AP students worked on research projects to help them learned about their country's culture, history, monetary system, geography and more.
The elementary students received a special gift from each country and had their mock passport stamped at each country's station. All participating students received a commemorative T-shirt.
Cuevas said, "The goal of this project is to help students become better researchers and communicators and to give them the opportunity to mentor younger children."
